Reflecting on a great year
As we head into Christmas, we want to take a moment to thank everyone who helped make 2025 a landmark year for FESS Hire, our customers, suppliers, team members, and partners.
It’s been a year of high demand, new beginnings, and exciting growth, not without its challenges, but full of progress. We’ve moved to a better base of operations, expanded our equipment hire range, and launched a whole new range of equipment: Plant Hire, built around what our customers actually need on site.
So, before we all switch off for a well-earned break, here’s a quick look back at some of the key moments from 2025, and a heartfelt thank-you from everyone here at FESS Hire.
Highlights from 2025
1. We moved to a new base of operations in Doncaster
In early 2025, we relocated our HQ to a larger, more efficient site. It’s been a game-changer, improving stock flow, dispatch times, and overall service delivery. A stronger foundation enables us to serve more customers, faster, with less friction.
2. We kept our service levels high, even under pressure
Like many in the hire sector, we saw a sharp increase in demand in 2025, especially across powered access and handling equipment. Balancing that demand while maintaining service standards hasn’t always been easy, but our team rose to the challenge. A big thank-you to everyone who made that possible.
Re-Introducing FESS Plant Hire
We’re starting the year by officially re-introducing FESS Plant Hire, now with dedicated pages on our website for clearer visibility of what we offer. While plant hire has long been part of our capabilities, we’re now showcasing it with a growing online footprint and renewed focus.
Whether you’re after micro diggers, twin-drum rollers, tracked dumpers or skid steers, we can source exactly what your project needs. As a trusted procurement partner, we work with a national network of vetted suppliers to deliver plant hire solutions with the same speed, reliability, and flexibility that FESS Hire is known for.
Our Plant Hire solutions are built to serve the construction, landscaping, and civil engineering sectors, with the same reliability, service, and nationwide reach you expect from us.
A Challenge Worth Mentioning
With growth comes growing pains, and our main challenge this year was availability. Matching high-volume enquiries to stock and delivery capacity required careful planning and, at times, difficult prioritisation.
It’s a good challenge to have, but still a real one. We’re investing in more intelligent systems, more fleet, and additional support heading into 2026, so we can continue to deliver without compromise.
A Special Thank-You to Our Team
Behind every smooth hire and every last-minute request delivered on time is a team that cares. We’re proud of the effort, commitment, and professionalism shown across the business, from depot ops and drivers to sales, accounts and support.
Projects are completed because people show up, do the work, and maintain high standards. That’s what our team did all year, and we’re grateful for it.
Giving Back: Hull Polish School Initiative
This year, FESS Hire and FESS Group were proud to support a community fundraising initiative in Hull, helping children at a Polish school access vital learning support and resources. With a large part of our workforce based in Poland, this cause is important to us, and we were honoured to get involved.

One Number That Says a Lot
In 2025, FESS Hire fulfilled hundreds of hires across powered access, handling, and plant, helping contractors, site teams, and commercial operators get the job done safely and efficiently.
That volume shows us the trust our customers place in us, and why we keep pushing to improve.
